The way effects are handled on the JV1080 has always confused me. ============================================================================ | Mike S. Whatever you do, you can only use reverb, chorus and one other effect at the same time, but you can select different effect sends for your patches and even for your tones. The JV allows you to route the output of the different effects in some ways for more flexibility, e.g. to send the output of the chorus effect into the reverb section, but that's it. We all would like to have 16 effects at least, but the Korg Trinity currently is the only one that gives you enough effect power for its 8 different parts (up to 11 effects, depending on how you count them) The EFX processor (Rolandish for the insert effect) has some effects that actually are two effects in line, e.g. chorus->flanger. Unfortunately, you cannot use them separately (parallel) like the two effect processors of the older Korg machines (03rw 01wfd etc). I would guess that the next generation JV (2080?) will have parallel effects and at least three insert effects with more than 50 different effects each :) -kk-
